Nokia Finland phone maker, Nokia is the one, if not the most respected brand in the world, but the recent booming of Android nearly forced the company into extinction. The durability and ruggedness of the Nokia phones are what gave the Nokia name, reputation and kind of respect they have today in the world. So when the first rumor of Nokia returning to phone-making broke, it stirred up some serious concerns, and almost everyone became eager to know more about the rumor and know if the rumors will come true.
Well today, It is safe to say that the long wait is over and the rumors and actually, Nokia is returning Next Year!!!!!!. The news was confirmed today being 1st of December by the CEO, HMD Global, Arto Nummela. (HMD Global is a Finnish company that develops mobile devices under the brand name "Nokia" ), which was set up in May this year.
Below is a statement shared by HMG Global “Today marks a happy and meaningful day for HMD. Nokia has been one of the most iconic and recognizable phone brands globally for decades. The excitement of re-introducing this much-loved, well-known and trusted brand to smartphone consumers is a responsibility and ambition that everyone at HMD shares”.
Before now, there has been several rumors and sightings of the Nokia smartphones like The Nokia D1C, Nokia 5320 and Nokia 1490. Also, there were other rumors and image leaks of this most eagerly anticipated Nokia Smartphone by benchmarking sites Weibo and GFXBench. Although there were slight differences in the specs, the both benchmarking sites confirmed that the phone maker would be releasing a new Android 7.0 Nougat Smartphone with a 3GB RAM space and 32GB inbuilt storage memory.
However, there were quite some notable features that were different from each the reviews rumored on the benchmarking sites. Weibo revealed that the phone would be A Nougat powered Android device, with A Snapdragon 820 or Snapdragon 430 processor, while AnTuTurevealed that the smartphone would be a 5.5 inch, Android 7.0 Nougat device, with A 1.4 Hz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor.
You will agree with me that there is ample of love for the name and brand, ‘Nokia,’ and I know that this much awaited and anticipated android phone would make waves in the Android market when it's finally launched. I still love Nokia, and I am anxiously waiting when it is going to be launched officially.
So the question is, Are you too expecting the new Nokia Android smartphone? Do you still have and use a Nokia phone today? Comment the name and model?
